Legal Affairs Division
The Legal Affairs Division provides the following services:
- Legal advisor to the Director and Department
- Departmental liaison to the Attorney General's Office
- Departmental representative on administrative law cases and employee adverse actions appealed to the State Personnel Board
- Regulations promulgation
- Investigation of requests for determination
- Consideration and response to petitions
Most employees work in the headquarters complex in Sacramento, but a branch office is located in Los Angeles.
