Automated E-mail System
Welcome to California DMV's Automated
E-Mail System. This automated system provides DMV
customers with answers to general questions via
automated e-mail responses.
This automated system will also
allow DMV to determine the volume and nature of
incoming e-mail as well as determine the need for
a one-on-one e-mail response unit.
You may send e-mail anytime to
our Automated E-mail System. This system can only
provide general answers; it cannot respond to individual
record-specific questions. To help us provide the
best answer to your question, please select one
of the following:
- Driver License, Identification Card, and Sales Person License (For information related to Driver Licenses, Identification Cards, DUIs, and occupational licenses, i.e., dealerships)
- Vehicle Registration Information (For questions related to smog certificates, registering vehicles and vessels)
- Commercial Industry Operations (For questions related to motor carrier program i.e., intrastate vehicles)
- Other General Information (For information not related to the areas listed above i.e., abandoned vehicles, DMV forms)
