Single State Registration System (SSRS)
2006 Renewal

SSRS Operating receipts are valid for the calendar year and must be renewed annually between August 1 and November 30. Although there is no administrative penalty for filing a late renewal, active and aggressive enforcement for proof of SSRS registration begins nationwide on January 1, 2006.

Failure to file your renewal application on or before November 30, 2005, will likely result in late (post January 1, 2006) issuance of your renewal registration receipt and this can result in your vehicle(s) being detained at foreign ports of entry and/or the assessment of large fines and penalties.

Please note that effective November 15, 2004, the correct mailing address for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Single State Registration System program is:
