Purpose

This memo provides the new Occupational Licensing (OL) telephone service hours, effective February 27, 2006. This change encompasses the telephone service provided by the following OL operations units:

Firms ............................................................(916) 229-3126
Individuals ......................................................(916) 229-3128
Traffic Violator/Driving School ...........................(916) 229-3127
Administrative Service Fee/Dishonored Check....(916) 229-3138

Procedures

Beginning February 27, 2006, through the next six to eight weeks, OL telephone service hours will be reduced as follows:

Mondays ..........9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesdays .........1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesdays ....9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursdays ........1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Fridays ............9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

Licensees should call their local inspector or in the case of an emergency, call (916) 229-3129 to contact OL.

Other callers having an OL emergency may call (916) 229-3129.

• Dealers, manufacturers, distributors, dismantlers, registration services, driving school owners, and traffic violator school owners.
• Visitors to the memo portion of the DMV website.
