The following gives you an idea how certain drugs might effect your ability to drive.

Drugs Side Effects
Diet/pep pills (amphetamines such as Benzedrine or Dexedrine) Depression, decreased ability to concentrate, hallucinations, headache, irritability, dizziness, hyperactivity
Cold/hay fever medications (antihistamines such as Benadryl, Dramamine, Pyribenzamine or Pyrilamine) Drowsiness, inattention, confusion, dizziness
Sleeping pills (barbiturates such as Seconal, Nembutal, Luminal, or Amital) Mental confusion, poor muscle coordination, irritability, drowsiness
Local anesthetics given for minor or oral surgery. Lessened reflexes, impaired judgment, drowsiness
Anti-anxiety medications (benzodiazepines such as Valium, Tanxene, or Serax) Drowsiness, blurred vision, fatigue
Tranquilizers (such as Equanil, Librium, Miltown, or phenothiazine) Drowsiness, faintness, vomiting, tremors, dizziness
Narcotics (such as morphine, codeine, Demerol, or Darvon) Inability to concentrate, apathy, euphoria, stupor, dimness of vision, drowsiness, nausea
Cannabinoids (such as marijuana or hashish) Lessens coordination, distorts sense of distance, hallucinations, depression, panic, fear
Hallucinogens (such as LSD, peyote, mescaline, DMT, or STP) Hallucinations, distortions in physical senses, hands and feet shake, floating sensation, panic, depression
