The department cannot investigate complaints against private parties, unless the complaint is about activity as an unlicensed driving school or traffic violator school owner, operator or instructor.
If I have a complaint against a school that is not within the DMV jurisdiction what other remedies do I have?
You can seek remedy through the courts, which may order actions to settle your dispute. You can find small claims courts in the county government pages of your local telephone directory.
Can the DMV get me a refund from a school I am not satisfied with?
The department cannot act as a go between to settle a dispute between a driving school or a traffic violator school and their customers.
