What do I need to do if I return my leased vehicle to the lessor?
If you return your leased vehicle to the lessor you must complete a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability and submit it to the department within five calendar days. This releases you from civil or criminal liability for any parking, abandonment, or operation of the vehicle occurring after the transfer date.
