Woosley Claim Information

Note: The trial of Woosley ve. State of California continues in Superior Court.

If you wish to file a claim for a portion of the vehicle license fees paid within the last three years on a vehicle previously registered out-of-state, you must submit a Request for Refund (ADM 399W).

To be considered for a refund of a portion of the Vehicle License Fees you paid, the following criteria must be met.

• The vehicle must have been previously registered outside of California.
• You, your parent, child, grandparent, grandchild or spouse must have acquired the out-of-state registered vehicle prior to August 1, 1991.
• The fees you are claiming must have been paid within three years of the date of this refund claim.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund for vehicle registration fees you have paid within the last three years and you have not yet filed a claim, you may download a Request for Refund (ADM 399W). Please complete the form as fully as possible, including a complete vehicle description (identification number, plate number, year model and make) to expedite processing of your claim once the court renders its decision.
