DMV Green Facilities
The California Department of Motor Vehicles has a long-standing commitment to embrace practices and policies that conserve energy, save resources, and reduce its impact on the environment.
This “working green” pledge is visible in the incorporation of environmentally friendly designs for new offices and in retrofitting projects that save energy and water.
The DMV has been awarded Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification in many of its facilities throughout the state and will continue to meet these standards in all future construction and remodels.
The LEED Green Building Rating System, developed by the US Green Building Council, is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
