To schedule an appointment to obtain a California driver license under AB 60, please select Office Visit Appointment from the options below. Appointments are required for all original driver license applications. However, same day service is available at Driver License Processing Centers (DLPC) without an appointment.

This online appointment system does not offer appointments for commercial behind-the-wheel driving tests. Please call 1-800-777-0133 during normal business hours to speak with an agent that can schedule a commercial behind-the-wheel driving test or discuss alternative methods for completing the driver license knowledge test.
Most vehicle registration items may be processed through the mail or online and do not require in-person visits to a DMV field office. Registration Renewal Notices for tags are mail-in, online, or telephone only. Appointments should not be made for these items.
