DMV Launches New Bicycle Safety Webpage
Sacramento -The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is participating in National Bike Month with the launch of a new bicycle safety webpage. The webpage emphasizes bicycle safety with tips for bicyclist and motorists including, sharing the road, helmet use and common causes of bicycle accidents.
"The new site is a one stop shop for bicycle riders and is a way to promote public safety by inspiring generations of safe bicyclists," said Chief Deputy Director Jean Shiomoto.
The webpage also features a video on sharing the road, summary of codes and laws, and a list of local, regional and national bicycle organizations. The new webpage also has a section on kids and bicycle safety.
