DMV Assists Valley Fire Victims at Middletown Local Assistance Center
Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) continues offering much needed services to fire victims, as a result of major wildfires in Lake and Napa counties in the Middletown Local Assistance Center which opened on Saturday, September 19.
Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. issued an Executive Order and proclaimed a State of Emergency due to wildfires burning throughout the state. The Governor extended this order, through emergency proclamations in Amador and Calaveras county and Lake and Napa counties, authorizing DMV to waive fees and/or penalties for victims of wildfires in Amador, Calaveras, Lake, Napa, and Trinity counties.
At the Middletown Local Assistance Center, DMV customers are able to apply for duplicate driver licenses, identification cards, registration, vehicle title, and disabled placards. In addition, they can apply for substitute license plates and stickers, vehicle disposal paperwork, driver record printouts and process a change of address.
