Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting customers the new Grass Valley field office at 890 Sutton Way will open Monday, February 26 at 8 a.m.
The 8,210-square foot building on the site of the former Grass Valley office offers more parking and better circulation in the parking lot. The new office has a larger lobby, more seating and a separate driver license testing area. The facility incorporates solar panels, as well as other energy-efficient features, to achieve Net Zero Energy in compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order B-18-12. This means the office will produce as much or more energy as it uses.
The former office closed in August 2015, and employees served customers at a temporary site.
The DMV reminds customers it offers many online services at www.dmv.ca.gov, which will save them a trip to a DMV field office. A few of the convenient options include renewing a vehicle registration and driver license, completing a change of address, requesting a driver record, and making an appointment.
