24 offices will serve customers at 7 a.m. four days a week beginning July 1
Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will open 17 more field offices in the Los Angeles metro area an hour earlier beginning Monday, July 1, offering the public 24 early-hour offices in the region.
Starting next week, the following field offices will open at 7 a.m. every weekday except Wednesday to help ease customer wait times. The offices will continue to open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday and close at 5 p.m. daily.

- Costa Mesa
- Compton
- El Monte
- Fullerton
- Glendale
- Hollywood (driver license/identification card only)
- Inglewood
- Laguna Hills
- Montebello
- Oxnard
- Rancho Cucamonga
- San Clemente
- Simi Valley
- Stanton (driver license/identification card only)
- Torrance
- Westminster
Offices in Lincoln Park, Newhall, Pomona, Redlands, Santa Ana, Whittier and Winnetka have offered the extended hours since last summer, serving thousands of customers during the extra morning hour.
Beginning July 1, 69 field offices across the state will open earlier.
Reminder – Saturday Service: The DMV offers Californians convenient service from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday at 62 field offices throughout the state, including 21 in the Los Angeles area. Customers without an appointment are finding their visit time significantly reduced if they arrive after 2 p.m.
