Procedures if incorrect license plates were issued:<\/p>\n\n\n

If the
\n<\/th>\n 		The Procedures Below Must Be Followed
\n<\/th>\n <\/tr><\/thead>\n
If the\n<\/span>Error is on an application still in the office
\n<\/td>\n 		The Procedures Below Must Be Followed\n<\/span>\n \u2022 Line through the incorrect license plate\/sticker numbers and write \u201cWrong Plates Issued\u201d on the DMV file copy.
\n \u2022 Recycle the license plates and destroy the sticker.
\n \u2022 Issue the correct license plates\/stickers and process as a clearing item.
\n \u2022 Mail the new registration card, license plates, and stickers to the vehicle owner with a License Plate Correction (FO 37) form showing the office name and address.\n \n<\/td>\n <\/tr>\n
If the\n<\/span>Owner received a letter from DMV headquarters requesting surrender of the license plates
\n<\/td>\n 		The Procedures Below Must Be Followed\n<\/span>\n \u2022 Pick up the license plates.
\n \u2022 Indicate the number of license plates and year sticker surrendered on the owner\u2019s letter.
\n \u2022 Issue new license plates and stickers if all the letter\u2019s requirements are satisfied.\n<\/td>\n <\/tr>\n<\/tbody><\/table>\n<\/figure>\n<\/body>\n\n\n

If an incorrect sticker was issued, do not attach the incorrect sticker the corrected item.
