The DMV and the California Department of Technology are looking for innovative organizations to partner with to advance and transform how the DMV conducts business in a rapidly evolving environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees will learn about the DMV\u2019s modernization vision aimed at delivering more efficient services to 40 million Californians. DMV leaders will discuss opportunities to further the department\u2019s digital transformation and interested vendors will be invited to propose solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Areas of interest for this year\u2019s Vendor Day include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remote Drive Tests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low Maintenance Omnichannel Smart Assistance\/Chatbots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobile Technician for Registration Services (Temporary Permits, Registration Stickers)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating Market and Adoption for Mobile Driver\u2019s License<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wildcard (focus on operational cost reduction)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with questions can send them to <a href=\"mailto:dmvvendorday@dmv.ca.gov\">DMVVendorDay@dmv.ca.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hundreds of organizations attended the previous DMV Vendor Days, which generated multiple vendor presentations. The DMV incorporated several of the ideas and implemented solutions that created new service channels to better serve its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DMV is undergoing a digital transformation and has upgraded many systems and processes in recent years, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mobile technicians capturing REAL ID applications outside of field offices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI-based remote proctoring for driver knowledge tests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service Advisor on the DMV\u2019s website to direct customers to services, options and appointments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multilingual Smart Assistant on DMV Contact Center Interactive Voice Response<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voice augmented DMV website access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Virtual Field Office to assist DMV customers during COVID-19 restrictions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI-based document verification process for REAL ID and Virtual Field Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robotic process automation of paper workloads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vendor Day 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who:<\/strong> DMV Director Steve Gordon, DMV Chief Digital Transformation Officer Ajay Gupta (host), and other members of the department\u2019s leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> February 14, 2024, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (PST)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where:<\/strong> Virtual via WebEx. Registration required at <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ye275wd7\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/ye275wd7<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the session, interested vendors will be invited to submit ideas\/solutions that address the DMV\u2019s objectives.
