Most customers can save a trip to the office and do their DMV business online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmv.ca.gov\/portal\/\">dmv.ca.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sacramento&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 To better serve customers in Ventura County, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will open its \u201cOxnard Express\u201d office at 137 N. Ventura Road, Port Hueneme, at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2. The office is located in the City of Port Hueneme but is officially called \u201cOxnard Express\u201d to signify its close proximity to the larger City of Oxnard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The office will offer limited DMV services, including accepting applications for original ID cards, but services such as applying for an original driver\u2019s license and behind-the-wheel drive tests will need to be conducted at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmv.ca.gov\/portal\/locations\/\">full-service field office<\/a>. The office will not offer appointments. Customers will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. The office will be cashless, only accepting credit and debit cards for payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The office will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays the office will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transactions that can be made at the office include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Original and replacement ID cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driver\u2019s license replacement with changes (address\/name)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driver\u2019s license knowledge (written exam) retests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commercial driver\u2019s license medical updates\/submissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duplicate vehicle titles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commercial motor vehicle partial year registration (PYR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disabled person parking placards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before Going to an Office \u2013 Try Online First!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DMV has taken many steps to offer additional digital services. Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit, including simple self-service transactions that are no longer available in offices. The DMV encourages customers to use its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmv.ca.gov\/portal\/dmv-online\/\">online services<\/a>&nbsp;and other service channels to complete transactions, including eligible driver\u2019s license and vehicle registration renewals.
