DMV Launches New Online Services (December 30, 2010)

A new, online service has been launched to make doing business with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) even easier, the department announced today. The new application creates a personalized online account where customers will be able to access and purchase copies of their driving and vehicle record, among other services.

Important Information About Driver License Renewals (December 2, 2010)

DMV Consolidates All International Registration Plan Processing to Headquarters (May 20, 2010)

Starting July 1, 2010, Calif. Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV) field offices will no longer process any International Registration Plan (IRP) applications. All work will be handled by mail at the DMV headquarters in Sacramento by the IRP Operations Section.

DMV Unveils New iPhone Application (February 16, 2010)

iPhone users will now have DMV information and services at their fingertips with a new DMV iPhone application called "DMV Now." The California Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) created an application that will allow iPhone owners the ability to find a local office with the average wait time and provide turn by turn directions based on the GPS location of the iPhone, take sample written driving tests, access a large library of DMV driver education videos and access other important DMV alerts.

DMV Suspends Driving School License and Imposes Five Year Probation (February 1, 2010)
