Sacramento Investigators from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, with the assistance of law enforcement officials from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and Los Angeles Police Department arrested Heather Dixon, 22, of Glendale, Ryan C. Corpe, 25 of Altadena, Daniel Caldwell, 24 of Monrovia and Giselle Figueroa, 22, of Temple City on multiple felony counts each of forging counterfeit government identity documents, and falsification of state seals. Another suspect, Peter Scott Singer, 24 of Monrovia is still being sought.
The search warrants were served at residences located in Glendale, Monrovia and Temple City on June 9 and 11, culminating a six month investigation that began when DMV Investigators were given a tip that a fake ID mill was being operated to sell counterfeit California and Texas driver licenses to underage college students in the Los Angeles area.
Seized were printers, laminators, fraudulent California state seals, fraudulent DMV logos, laminating sheets, card stocks, counterfeit California and Texas Driver Licenses, computers, ledgers and other evidence of counterfeit document manufacturing equipment.
Suspects were booked into the Los Angeles county jail with bail amounts set at $50,000 for Dixon and $20,000 for Corpe and Caldwell. Figueroa was arrested and released pending charges by the District Attorney. All four could face a sentence of up to three years in prison per count if convicted.
