Sacramento –The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) reminds customers that all public offices will be closed on Fridays May 7, 14 and 21, 2010, in keeping with the Governor’s Executive Order S-13-09.
Department offices will be open on Friday, May 28. Offices will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day.
The Department offers a number of online services through its website (www.dmv.ca.gov) including payments for vehicle registration and driver license renewals via secure debit transactions, filing a notice of release of liability, change of address, and scheduling appointments.
Customers who have a registration renewal date that falls on April 7, 14 and 21 will have penalties waived until the next business day.
