DMV Announces Hayward and Glendale Field Offices to Reopen April 25

Sacramento –The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today the re-opening of the Hayward Field Office located at 150 Jackson Street and the Glendale Field office at 1335 W. Glenoaks Blvd will open to the public on April 25, 2011. Both offices had been closed since August 2010 for renovations and remained closed in the past months due to staffing issues.
“With the addition of newly-trained staff, we are once again able to serve our customers in the Hayward and Glendale areas,” said Department of Motor Vehicles Director George Valverde.
The Hayward office has 30 full-time and 3 part-time employees who handle some 197,000 transactions each year while the Glendale office has 45 full-time and 3 part-time employees who handle approximately 281,000 transactions annually.
