San Bernardino Field Office to Re-Open

Repairs Made after Vandalism

Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today that the San Bernardino Office will re-open to the public at 8:00 a.m. Monday September 23, 2013.

The office suffered significant damage after a driver drove his truck into the lobby on the night of September 14, 2013. The driver tried to escape by driving through another glass wall when his vehicle became stuck.  He was subsequently apprehended and arrested.

Repairs included replacing floor tiles, glass and other elements to make the newly remodeled office functional again. The replacement of storefront glass and damaged trees in the parking lot are scheduled for next week, but this work will not affect business.

The San Bernardino office had recently re-opened to the public on June 24, 2013 after an extensive remodel.
