Sonora DMV Field Office to Close for Renovations

SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting local customers that the Sonora field office located at 885 Morning Star Drive will be closing on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 5 p.m.

The office opened in 1994 and is in need of improvements. The renovations include new flooring and paint as well as an oral testing room for customers. The Sonora office will reopen to the public on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 9 a.m.

Customers will be redirected to the offices listed below until the renovations have been completed:

  • San Andreas, 745 Mountain Ranch Road, 28 miles away
  • Jackson, 201 Clinton Road, 43 miles away
  • Manteca, 955 Davis Street, 58 miles away
  • Stockton, 55 South Lincoln Street, 64 miles away
