Redding Field Office To Close For Renovations And Expansion
SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is reminding customers that the Redding Field Office located at 2135 Civic Center Drive will close on Friday, February 14, 2014, at 5:00 p.m., and will re-open in a temporary building at the same location on Monday, March 3, 2014, at 8:00 a.m.
The Redding field office has been at its current location since 1964 and will be undergoing renovations which will include additional square footage for more lobby space, reconfiguration of work areas and terminals, an upgraded HVAC system, new flooring, ceiling and lighting. A temporary building will be in place at the same location on Civic Center Drive to serve customers while the renovations of the permanent facility are accomplished.
During the two week temporary closure, staff members and customers will be redirected to nearby locations:

- Weaverville – 1511 Main Street, 45 miles away (Closed daily from 12 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.)
