Mobile Driver’s License Extended Verification

Your mDL request has not been approved. If you have registered an email address with the CA DMV please check your email for further instructions. Otherwise, you should retry your mDL request in your wallet. Please read the following instructions on how to retry.

Retry your mDL Request:

  1. Select “Add to Wallet” from the wallet home screen.

  2. Select “ID card.”

  3. Select “Get Started” on the “Fly through TSA” screen.

  4. If you are presented with a pop up that says “You already have an ID” select “View pending request.” On the following screen select “Cancel request”, and confirm.

  5. Restart the flow from step 1.

Improve your chances of approval by following best practices:

  1. Card Capture:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions closely.
    • Keep the DL/ID card steady or place it on a flat dark surface.
    • Card surface must be well lit but without any glare.
    • Do not cover the card with your fingers or any other object.
    • Make sure that the barcode on the back of the card is clearly visible. Zoom in on the barcode if needed.
    • Do not use a digital image of your card. Use the physical card for scanning

  2. Video Capture:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions closely.
    • Make sure you are the only person in the frame.
    • Remove any headwear and mask.
    • Use indoors with consistent and ample lighting on the face.
    • Use indoors artificial lighting.
