What you need to know: The Lodi office will close temporarily for renovations on March 19 at 5 p.m. However, most customers do not have to visit an office and can do their DMV business online at dmv.ca.gov.
Sacramento — The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today announced that the Lodi office at 1222 Pixley Parkway will close temporarily for abatement and leak repairs beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. The office is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21.
Until the renovations are complete, customers can visit the following area offices:
- Stockton: 55 South Lincoln St. (15 miles from the Lodi office)
- Manteca: 955 Davis St. (24 miles from the Lodi office)
- South Sacramento: 7775 La Mancha Way (28 miles from the Lodi office)
- Tracy: 2785 Auto Plaza Dr. (36 miles from the Lodi office)
Before Going to a DMV Office — Try Online First
Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit. The DMV encourages customers to use its online services and other service channels to complete transactions, such as eligible driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals. Customers can also use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to learn about options to complete DMV tasks.
Go Paperless — To sign up for paperless vehicle registration and driver’s license renewal notices, sign in or create a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov to opt in.
