Sacramento — The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today announced that the Mendota office at 655 Quince St. will permanently close beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, September 26.
Customers can visit the following area offices:
- Madera: 1206 Maple St. (33 miles from the Mendota office)
- Fresno: 655 W. Olive Ave. (34 miles from the Mendota office)
- Fresno North: 6420 N. Blackstone Ave. (41 miles from the Mendota office)
- Clovis: 2103 Shaw Ave. (45 miles from the Mendota office)

Before Going to a DMV Office — Try Online First
Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit. The DMV encourages customers to use its online services and other service channels to complete transactions, such as eligible driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals. Customers can also use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to learn about options to complete DMV tasks.
Go Paperless — To sign up for paperless vehicle registration and driver’s license renewal notices, sign in or create a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov to opt in.
