DMV Now Self-Service Terminals Expand to Additional Retail Locations

Options Grow for Registration Renewal in the Los Angeles area

Sacramento –The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) added three additional DMV Now Self-Service Terminal locations in the Los Angeles area this week. Customers can renew their vehicle registration instantly using the blue and yellow touchscreen kiosks now available at the following Superior Grocers locations:

7300 Atlantic Avenue 10211 South Avalon Boulevard 3831 East Martin Luther King Jr.
Cudahy, CA 90201 Los Angeles, CA 90003 Lynwood, CA 90262

The popular self-service terminal is designed for customers who need their vehicle registration card and license plate tag immediately.  To conduct a transaction, individuals will need their vehicle registration renewal notice or their most recent vehicle registration card.  The touch screen machine offers instructions in English and Spanish and accepts credit cards, debit cards and checks.  The DMV Now terminal in Cudahy is the first retail location to accept cash.
The kiosk can also be used by customers who have decided not to drive their vehicle and want to file for planned non-operation status.

The department added the DMV Now Self-Service Terminal to nine Los Angeles area retail locations in April, as well as one at the University of California, Irvine.

The DMV Now SST is also available in 60 DMV field office locations. To find one near you:

Since the first DMV Now Self-Service Terminal was installed in October 2010, more than 6.1 million vehicle registration renewal transactions have been completed using these convenient kiosks.
