DMV Spanish Speaking Answerman Shares Time Saving Secrets

SACRAMENTO —The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) today, released the second installment of the new Spanish language video series called “El Sabelotodo del DMV,” (Mr. Know-It-All of DMV) which provides Spanish speaking customers with helpful information about DMV services and programs. In this video, El Sabelotodo tells his fans about how easy it is to conduct your DMV business online. Click here for video.

El Sabelotodo is a sophisticated, worldly, and cultured character who answers frequently asked DMV questions in an entertaining way by mixing humor with important instructional information that makes learning fun and interesting.  In this video series, El Sabelotodo is not only an expert about DMV issues, he also seems to know a lot about other things, such as cooking, mountain climbing, music, and saving lives.  In this second video viewers discover that he is also an accomplished musician.

The DMV expects El Sabelotodo to be as successful as his eccentric, award-winning English speaking counterpart, the DMV Answerman, who debuted on DMV’s YouTube Channel in October 2012.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to provide information to our customers,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto.  “El Sabelotodo del DMV is just one way the DMV is using technology to educate our customers.”


The El Sabelotodo video series was written, produced, and edited by DMV staff.  DMV plans on releasing one more El Sabelotodo del DMV video before 2015.
