DMV Now Self Service Terminals Expand to Retail Locations in the Antelope Valley
Popular Kiosk offers Convenient Vehicle Renewal Option
Sacramento - Customers in the Antelope Valley can instantly renew their vehicle registration without stepping foot into a DMV field office because DMV Now Self-Service Terminals are now available at retail locations in Lancaster and Palmdale.
The easy-to-use blue and yellow kiosks have been placed at Albertsons in Lancaster at 43543 20th Street West and Albertsons in Palmdale at 38727 North Tierra Subida. Store hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
“We are always looking for options to provide our customers with alternative and convenient ways to conduct their DMV business,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “By placing DMV Now Self-Service Terminals in retail locations, we are providing customers with another time-saving option.”
The popular self-service terminal is designed for customers who need their vehicle registration card and license plate tag immediately. To conduct a transaction, customers will need their vehicle registration renewal or their most recent vehicle registration card. The touch screen machine offers instructions in English and Spanish and accepts credit card and checks.
The kiosk can also be used by customers who have decided not to drive their vehicle and want to file for planned non-operation status.
The department also added the popular kiosk to seven additional retail locations in the Los Angeles area last month. The first external Self-Service Terminal was installed at the University of California, Irvine on April 10.
DMV Now Self-Service Terminals are also available during regular business hours at 60 DMV field offices. A kiosk is available at the Lancaster field office at 721 West Avenue L6.
