Temporary DMV Field Office to Open in San Marcos
SACRAMENTO -The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting customers that the San Marcos field office will open a temporary office at 1706 Descanso Avenue on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 7:00 a.m. The temporary field office will serve customers while a brand new San Marcos field office is being built at 600 Rancheros Drive. This new field office is anticipated to open in spring 2015. The San Marcos field office is replacing the Escondido field office that closed in May 2013.
To better serve customers, the San Marcos field office will have extended office hours. The office will be open weekdays from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., except it will open an hour later on Wednesdays.
The temporary 14,000 square-foot office on Descanso Avenue will serve nearly 600 customers per day with a staff of 38 employees.
