Fresno DMV Field Office Grand Opening Ceremony

WHAT:

The California Department of Motor Vehicles will hold a Grand Opening Ceremony to dedicate the new Fresno field office.

Dedication ceremony: Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

WHERE:

Fresno DMV field office, 655 W. Olive Avenue, Fresno, CA

Background:

The 20,000 square-foot field office, which opened to the public on June 30, 2014, serves approximately 150,000 customers annually and is staffed with 40 employees. The new field office may be the first California state-owned Zero Net Energy (ZNE) building.  This means the energy consumed by the building over the course of a year is less than or equal to the renewable energy generated on site by the solar panels.
