FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 15, 2023

Sacramento – The California Department of Motor Vehicles is alerting customers that the Anaheim Driver’s License Processing Center (DLPC) at 3170 W. Lincoln Ave. has temporarily closed for repairs. Customers, including those with scheduled appointments at the Anaheim office, will be served at surrounding offices.

The DMV closed the office as a precaution when industrial hygiene tests indicated levels of penicillium mold in the office. The DMV leases this space and is working with the lessor to initiate and complete repairs. At this time, there is no estimated date for the office to reopen. The DMV apologizes for any inconvenience.

Until the repairs are complete, customers can visit the following area field offices:

  • Westminster               13700 Hoover St.                                5 miles
  • Fullerton                     909 W. Valencia Drive                       6 miles
  • Santa Ana                   1330 E. First St.                                  12 miles

The offices above will honor the appointments of Anaheim DLPC customers.

Before Going to a Field Office – Try Online First!

The DMV has taken many steps to offer more digital services. Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit. The DMV encourages customers to use its online services and other service channels to complete transactions, including eligible driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals. Customers can also use the Service Advisor on the DMV website to learn their options to complete DMV tasks.

To sign up for paperless vehicle registration and driver’s license renewal notices, customers must sign in or create a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov and then opt in.
