Hawthorne DMV Field Office to Close for Renovations
SACRAMENTO -The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting local customers that the Hawthorne field office located at 3700 W. El Segundo Boulevard will be closing on Friday, April 18, 2014, at 12 p.m.
The office first opened in 1974 and is in need of improvements. The renovations include replacing the public writing counters, new furniture, fresh paint, upgrade lighting, and modify public and employee restrooms. The Hawthorne office is scheduled to reopen to the public on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 9 a.m.
Employees and customers will be redirected to the offices listed below until the renovations have been completed:
- Inglewood, 621 N. La Brea Avenue, 5 miles away
- Torrance, 1785 W. 220th Street, 8 miles away
- Los Angeles, 3615 S. Hope Street, 10 miles away
- Compton, 2111 South Santa Fe Avenue, 11 miles away
