15.095 OHV Motorcycle Engine Changes (VC §4161)

When the engine number of an off-highway motorcycle has been recorded on DMV’s records and the owner later reports an engine change, process in accordance with the VIN and/or Engine Changes.

If the vehicle is registered for both on-highway and off-highway use, pick up the OHV identification card and the on-highway certificates, line out the old engine number, and write the new engine number above the lined out number.
